Releasing September 25, 2026, Usurp the Shadow Throne is a standalone booster set designed for both limited and constructed play. Featuring three Shadow heroes, the milestone 20th set unleashes the penultimate chapter of the War of the Monarch.

Flesh and Blood’s iconic original Runeblade Viserai finally returns from traversing i’Arathael, now imbued with the power of Shadow! As the champion of the Old Ones, he uses his otherworldly abilities to usurp all who stand in his path of conquest. He is joined by Malice, a Necromancer who commands an army of zombies, corrupting them beyond death to serve her sinister desires. Fan favorite Brute Levia is back, driven by the insatiable hunger of the demon Blasmophet within her.

With the gate to i’Arathael open, gameplay is unbound. Embrace the Shadow and access forbidden power by playing cards from your banished zone. Usurp power by seizing your opponent’s Runechants by force! With such power at your disposal, the fate of Rathe is within your grasp.

Ultimate power is within your reach… are you ready to take your seat and Usurp the Shadow Throne?
